Cookie policy
We use as few cookies as a site can. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them. A security cookie is always on because the site needs it. A video player sets its own cookies only when you press play.
The short version
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. On your first visit we show a banner. Until you choose, no analytics cookie is set. Choose “Accept” and we load Google Analytics; choose “Decline” and we don't — the site works either way.
What we use, by category
Strictly necessary — always on
Cloudflare sets a security cookie that tells real visitors apart from bots so pages can be served safely. It carries no advertising or profiling purpose and, being strictly necessary, is not subject to consent.
Analytics — only if you accept
Google Analytics 4 sets _ga and
_ga_* to count visits and see which pages are useful. These are
loaded only after you accept the banner. They expire after two years
and hold a random identifier, not your identity. IP anonymisation is on; we
have not enabled advertising features or cross-device tracking. See our
privacy policy for the full analytics detail.
Third-party video player — only if you press play
Some drama pages let you watch free episodes in ReelShort's official embedded
player. If — and only if — you tap play, your browser loads that player from
reelshort.com, which may set its own cookies to
run the video and to credit a resulting app install to us. Those cookies are
ReelShort's, governed by
their privacy policy. If you never press play, none are set.
Changing your mind
Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage
(dl-consent). To be asked again, or to withdraw analytics
consent, clear this site's site data / local storage in your browser
settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also block
cookies entirely in your browser, or use an extension that blocks analytics
scripts; the reading experience is unchanged.
Do Not Track
Because analytics is off until you opt in, we already treat the default state as “no analytics.” We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of under the CCPA's sale provisions.
Changes
If our cookie use changes we will update the date above and adjust the banner before the change takes effect. Questions: privacy@dramalyst.com.
